Straits Area Federal Credit Union is a community based, member owned nonprofit financial cooperative founded in 1950.  We serve members throughout the Cheboygan, Michigan area.

We have our roots deep in the communities we serve. Our commitment, to our members and prospective members, is to provide friendly, convenient service and competitive rates for savings, investing and borrowing.  We currently serve over 10,000 members and our year-end assets totaled more than $34,000,000.00.

Our three branch offices, all with ATM access, have been placed to allow for easy access for all of our membership and we are constantly looking for better ways to make our services available and enhance the service and products that we offer.
